Post-Christmas Blues

I always get very melancholy after Christmas. Even though there's still New Year's, it's just not the same.
Do you know what I mean, anonymous reader who probably isn't even reading this?

I am up too late again tonight. I've been spending my winter break staying up all night either partying with friends or working on belated film production, then sleeping in until 2 in the afternoon and having to either rush to work leaving the house in disarray or loafing around on the sofa for the rest of the daylight hours.
Its not healthy, but honestly, when am I ever going to find the time to work on things in my nerdy undercover life if I don't do it in the night?

I'm actually feeling extremely exhausted right now.... I have to get up early to go with a friend to do some shopping and party-preps for a someone's going-away party. I also have a heinous dentist appt. tomorrow....

-why am I telling you every whimming detail of my day?? I must be very tired T__T You would be too.

Christmas List

I found it extremly hard this year to think of what I should ask for for Christmas. I tried and tried, but the only thing I could muster was a new pair of socks.... Wow, am I really getting that old? I miss the original kid-Christmas, when that day was what you LIVED for, and everything you got kicked ass :D
Now it's just a big rush to buy buy buy for all the people you know, wondering if you'll have enough money left over at the end to pay your car insurence and cell phone bill. Yuck, what a horrible way to think of the greatest time of year.

But I'm not discouraged! I absolutly love Christmas time, and not because of the presents you might recieve or the loads of delicious foods you could get your paws into. No, I love Christmas for the pure simplicity of good spirit. People you've never met can exchange smiles with you, the sense of family and friends grows warmer than ever, and the only thing you're REALLY wishing for is snow on Christmas morning. Yes, I do believe that's some of what Christmas is supposed to be about.
That, and of course celebrating Jesus Christ's birthday, Christmas trees, and all the other nice things that occur on the 25th.

But of course, recieving gifts isn't THAT bad of a thing... :3 So I made a list anyway.

-New Black Frames
-Moccasin Boots
-Mama Mia
-An old-school Polaroid Camera
-Scrapbooking and Stationary Nonsense
-A new Sony Camcorder
-New ipod Headphones
-New Cell Phone
And if I REALLY wanted to wish big, I would add a Canon EOS Rebel XS 18-55IS DSLR in there...

I've still got my heart set on Moccasin boots, of all things. And when I saw this, I figured it must be fate. Goodness, even Nagisa is wearing them!


Did anyone see episode 12? Oh my....best thing ever.

We're still snowed in. It's been about a week now! I've managed to get to and from work ok, but my poor old car nearly biffed it on the icy streets the other day, so I'm avoiding the roads at all costs. Another huge storm is supposed to blow in this week...so it looks like it's going to be a white Christmas afterall! Do you know how long its been since that happened here of all places? :D I am quite enthralled. The only bad thing is that I still haven't done any of my Christmas shopping... I'm thinking about just sending out cards for now, and doing gifts later.
