I have quite some lovely news for everyone - My laptop is el doneo

As of this moment, I'm not sure what to expect. It happened so suddenly. I've backed up SOME things on my external, like old projects, CTAS episodes, and a few editing materials from way back in the day. But my main projects, my current animes, all of my photos, documents, CTAS info, K-On Fandub files, Sound effects, and all of my plug-ins, Vegas, particle, textures, brushes, Photoshop, and converting programs are ALL on my laptop..... which is basically locked away from my reach. According to people whom I've discussed the issue with, it appears to be a crash of my Hard Drive. What my laptop does is when I go to start it up, it plays this very sad sounding 3 note tune over and over a few times, then the HP logo appears as if it's going to start up, then after that it goes to a black screen and sits that way. In the upper left-hand corner, there's a little blinking underscore. That's it. How quaint.

I'm surprised I didn't kill over along with it! Seeing as I have some very dear things to me on that hard drive. I've gone into this very solemn state of depression xD ....Nah, I kid. But it is very unsettling. What makes matters worse is that the project I've been working on since August was JUST about done. I was going to release it by Christmas. I was also about to start editing for K-On and a few other projects I've been planning..

I'm not sure what I'll do. First thing, of course, is seeing if I can save my hard drive. I'll take it to a professional who can try and have a go at it. If I can salvage my files and programs, then I'll be able to re-boot my laptop and solve the problem. If and when this will happen, I'm not sure. Hopefully within the next 2 weeks or so.

I'm not limited to internet access however. I'll still be around. I just won't be editing for awhile...<3

I don't think I will stop editing if I lose everything. I view it as an art and I won't let such a skill escape me. I'll be keeping everyone posted on what becomes of my files, and ultimately my computer.
