Now, I'm not one to boast about being a devoted anime watcher. For years now, I've been oblivious to the going ons of the anime world, and am very selective of the ones I HAVE kept up with.
But I have noticed, in nearly every subbed anime that I come to enjoy, that once the English dub is released, it changes my entire impression of that show. In so many terms, it ruins the once great show.
Its sad that professional English VA's cant be better...
That's why I'm absolutely terrified to see my precious Clannad dubbed this summer. I'll die if it turns out to be another Air TV incident! Or worse yet....some disaster like The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.....
Poor Haruhi....
So PLEASE ADV Films......don't ruin Clannad for us! Or at least make sure that Nagisa and Tomoya are properly cast, if nothing else.
Oh why am I rambling on about all this? I'm always so surprised to see so many people supporting dubs. Just watch in SUB, kids. I promise you, it will be worth your while.
